Domestic students wishing to pursue a research scholarship can apply for the APA/CUPS scholarship, and International students should apply for the IPRS/CSIRS.

Referee reports

Each applicant is required to submit two referee reports to support their applications. For a template of the referee reports, please see the HDR website.

For confidential reasons, please advise your supporting academics to email their referee reports directly to, with the subject line 'Referee reports for [your name]'.

Approval for admission

Only applicants who have been approved for admission to a Higher Degree by Research course will be considered for a Curtin-managed research scholarship. With this in mind, please submit your application for admission well in advance of the scholarship deadline. The assessment of your admission application may take up to two months.

Please note: Incomplete applications will not be assessed.
