About this scholarship
Tour de Cure’s mission has always been to change cancer outcomes for Australians. Funding Australia’s researchers, scientists and clinicians is how we build towards better treatment, diagnosis, prevention, and care.
We are proud to be opening a new Annual Grant Round for 2023/2024 on 1 August 2023.
Our passionate community, partners and fundraisers have continued to support and help raise funds for cancer research.

The Tour de Cure Grants Committee maintains an ethical, independent and transparent selection process whilst reviewing the grant applications. Tour de Cure is committed to funding innovation and excellence. We aim to see our finite funding resources leveraged as much as possible, supporting the best Australian-based projects and researchers.
Tour de Cure is a cancer agnostic organisation. Our aim is to cure all cancers and accordingly, we consider applications for research in any cancer type. The TDC Grants Committee select the best projects possible and ensure proper ongoing project governance. All Grant applications are evaluated on merit.

Funding Available: up to $10,000 each (up to 10 in total per grant round); payment will be made within three months of notification of success.
Scholarship Details
Open to applicants within any Eligible Organisation who are currently enrolled in a full-time program of research consistent with the objectives of Tour de Cure, leading to the awarding of a PhD or equivalent research doctorate.
Applicants must be current holders of a PhD scholarship (a university research training program, NHMRC scholarship or equivalent).
