As a BCG First Nations Internship and Scholarship recipient, you will:
- receive $20,000 in scholarship funding
- join one of our offices as an intern for 8 weeks
- learn about the work we do and explore how you can make a difference with our clients, colleagues, and communities
- be assigned a mentor through the remainder of your studies, as well as a buddy who will support you during your internship
- gain real-world experience before you graduate
- build strong relationships and connect with peers through different activities have a pathway to a full time graduate role with BCG Australia and New Zealand
Scholarship Details
Enrolled in the penultimate (second last) year of undergraduate or postgraduate study..
To apply for the BCG First Nations Internship and Scholarship, you must:
- be of Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islands, Māori or Pacific Island origin
- be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand
- be in your penultimate year of undergraduate or postgraduate study at a registered Australian or New Zealand university.

We encourage students from all backgrounds, experiences and disciplines to apply – there is no ‘standard type’. Our process is designed to help you get to know us and what we do at the same time as we are getting to know you. Through that process, we hope you come to see BCG as a place that provides an unparalleled start to your career and enables you to have the positive impact you seek.
Applications open on Monday 25th March and close 26th July 2024 12 noon AEST.
When applying online, ensure you select our Consulting – Full-Time application role under our "always-open" roles. Please note the Scholarship you are applying for in your cover letter.
You will be asked to select up to three offices of your choice in order of preference. To be considered for BCG within Australia or New Zealand, you must select either Auckland, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, or Sydney as your first office preference.
Our selection process has several stages to help us learn about you, and for you to learn more about BCG and a career in consulting:
- After submitting your online application, eligible candidates will receive an invitation to complete our online case assessment.
- Our team will review your application and case assessment before shortlisting successful candidates for first-round case interviews.
- Candidates selected for interview will also be allocated a current BCG consultant as a “buddy” who can answer questions that you have about consulting, BCG or the interview process along the way.
