About this scholarship
The Peter Bradford Scholarship (the Scholarship) is available to assist Curtin University students experiencing financial hardship across all faculties/disciplines. Preference will be given to those students who have relocated from remote/regional areas across Australia.

The Scholarship will provide the following support (based on a full-time study load of 100 credits):
- A one-off cash payment of $2,500. The scholarship may be used at the recipient's discretion to contribute towards payment to their course fees, or for other education related expenses such as textbooks and/or general living expenses.
Scholarship Details
Any undergraduate courses from all faculties/disciplines (excluding enabling and bridging courses).
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for the Scholarship:
- Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident
- Enrolled in a minimum 50 credits at Curtin in semester 1, 2025
- A minimum course weighted average (CWA) of 60 (for current students) or an ATAR of 75 (for commencing students)
- From a low socio-economic background
- Experiencing financial hardship
- Be from / based in Western Australia
Preference will be given to students who have relocated from remote/regional areas across Australia to study at Curtin University
Application process
Step 1: Access application form
- Application form can be accessed via the ‘My Studies’ tab in OASIS or via the ‘Apply Online’ button on the top right-hand side of this page
- Please note that this link will direct you to the general "Equity Scholarship Program" application form. Once you submit your application, you will then be considered for all equity scholarships that you are eligible for in this round.
- If you are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student and would like to be considered for all other scholarships (equity and merit) available in this round, we recommend that you apply for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship Program here (only one application form to complete).
Step 2: Complete
- Complete the application form online
- Application form can be saved at any point of the process

Step 3: Submit
- Closing date is listed at the top of the page and within the Scholarships Channel on OASIS
- Incomplete applications will not be assessed
- Once submitted, application status will change to submitted
Step 4: Receipt
- Application receipt will be sent to student email once application has been submitted
Step 5: Assessment
- Applications will be assessed by an assessment panel using the following criteria:
- Responses to questions in application form
- Demonstration of financial hardship
- Low socio-economic background
- Reference letter
- Preference will be given to students who have relocated or will be relocating from remote / regional areas across Australia
Step 6: Outcome
- All successful and unsuccessful applicants notified of their outcome via the Scholarships Channel (Student OASIS) within 6-8 weeks of the scholarship closing date
Step 7: Acceptance
- Successful applicants must accept the terms and conditions via the Scholarship Channel (Student OASIS) by the deadline
