2025 - Semester 1 - Allison Taylor Single Mum Scholarship
Status: Opening
Applications open: 15/01/2025
Applications close: 5/03/2025
About this scholarship
The purpose of the Allison Taylor Single Mum Scholarship (Scholarship) has been developed to support and encourage single mothers as they pursue their higher education, helping them achieve long-term economic security for themselves and their children.
This Scholarship was established in memory of Allison Taylor, a devoted mother, loving grandmother, admired friend, and passionate advocate for women. While raising her daughter as a single mum and working full-time, Allison persisted with her own education. In 2004, Allison was diagnosed with breast cancer, a battle that she would fiercely fight until her passing on the 18 March 2022. In the weeks leading up to her passing, Allison shared her one last wish with her daughter; to create a scholarship at Curtin University – one that would inspire the wider community to rally behind single mums.
