The Zonta Club of Perth offers an award of $2,000 for female students to encourage a woman aged 25 years or over to complete a Post-secondary Qualification at a recognised course in a Western Australian institution.

The value of this scholarship is a one-off cash payment of AUD$2,000.

A woman aged 25 years or over who is in need of financial assistance is eligible to apply, and who:  

• Is able to demonstrate the need of financial assistance 
• Is a woman aged 25 years or over as at 14 June 2025. 
• Is an Australian citizen, or has permanent residency status 
• Is residing in Western Australia for the 2025 academic year 
• Is studying towards a post-secondary qualification (eg TAFE Certificate/Diploma, or University undergraduate degree. The award is not offered for those enrolled in a postgraduate qualification. 
• Preference will be given to students who have not received a scholarship or financial award during the course of their current study program 
• Has successfully completed at least all the first-year units/requirements of an undergraduate degree/or TAFE certificate/diploma qualification course (on a full or part time basis)  
• Is able to provide 1 (one) written academic reference and 1 (one) written personal reference 
• Can confirm their nationality, PR status 
• Provides proof of Income Documents (Recent payslips, or Centrelink Statements with pension/allowance details) 
• Provides their latest Academic Transcript/Record

Selection Process

• All applications dealt with in confidence. 
• Following the close of applications on Friday, 14 June 2025, successful candidates will be invited for an interview.  
• Interviews will be held in late June 2025.  
• The successful awardee will be invited for an awards ceremony to take place on Thurs 10 July 2025 at the Zonta Club of Perth to receive her award and to give a short address to the Club’s members. 
• The decision of the panel will be final and binding and will be published on the Zonta Website following the awards ceremonies in July 2025.
