About this scholarship
The Curtin Enabling Program Bursary, (Scholarship) has been developed to support students who have chosen to study an eligible enabling course at Curtin University. This bursary can provide financial assistance towards accommodation costs, travel costs and expenses associated with studying.

The scholarship will provide the following support:
- A one-off cash payment of up to $1,000.
The amount can be used at the recipient’s discretion to contribute towards educational related expenses.
Scholarship Details
Applicants must meet all the following criteria to be considered eligible for the scholarship:
- Domestic student (Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, Permanent Humanitarian visa)
- Selected Curtin University as a first or second preference through TISC or apply direct to Curtin by the scholarship’s closing date to undertake an eligible enabling course in 2026
- Receive an eligible enabling program offer and will enrol in the eligible course at Curtin University in Semester 1, 2026
- Past the compulsory school age in semester 1, 2026 (as defined by the Western Australian School Education Act 1999)
- Low socio-economic background and experiencing financial hardship
Application process
Step 1: Access application form
- Application form can be accessed via the ‘Apply Online’ button on the top right-hand side of this page
- Please note that this link will direct you to the general "Equity Scholarship Program" application form. Once you submit your application, you will then be considered for all equity scholarships that you are eligible for in this round.
- If you are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student and would like to be considered for all other scholarships (equity and merit scholarships) available in this round, we recommend that you apply for the "Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship Program".
Step 2: Complete
- Complete the application form online
- Application form can be saved at any point of the process
- Tips on how to complete your application can be found on the ‘Applying for scholarships’ link on the scholarships website
Step 3: Submit
- Closing date is listed at the top of the page and within the Scholarships Channel on OASIS
- Incomplete applications will not be assessed
- Once submitted, application status will change to submitted
Step 4: Receipt
- Application receipt will be sent to the email address provided when you created your Curtin account, once your application has been submitted
Step 5: Assessment
- Applications for the Curtin Enabling Program Bursary will be assessed by an assessment panel using the following criteria:
- Responses to questions in application form
- Demonstration of financial hardship
- Socio-economic background
Step 6: Outcome
- Outcome will be sent via the email address listed through TISC or your direct Curtin course application after main round course offers (all successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified)
Step 7: Acceptance
- Successful applicants (including those who wish to defer their studies) must return acceptance documents by the deadline stipulated in the terms and conditions
- Deferral of this scholarship is permitted for up to 12 months (details included in scholarship terms and conditions)
Please note:
- Scholarship will be awarded if there are applicants of sufficient need
- Scholarship is not transferable to another university
Enrolment Requirements
Recipients must meet all of the following:
- Maintain an enrolment at Curtin University
- Not be in receipt of any other scholarship from the same funding source and/or a different purpose
