About this scholarship

The Acumentis Indigenous Scholarship in Property (Scholarships) supports and empowers Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students pursuing a career in property. The scholarship is designed to ease financial pressures while also encouraging greater diversity and representation within the property sector. By investing in the next generation, Acumentis aims to create meaningful career pathways and strengthen opportunities for students to thrive in the profession.

The Scholarship will provide the following financial support for up to two years (based on full-time enrolment of 100 credits):

  • A total value of up to $20,000 paid as a cash stipend of $5,000 per semester
  • Guaranteed paid internship opportunities with the Sponsor.

The amount can be used at recipients discretion to contribute towards educational related expenses.

Scholarship Details

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Property Major)
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Property Development and Valuation Major)

Double degrees will not be considered.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for the Scholarship:

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • Enrolled in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of an eligible degree.
  • Enrolled full-time (minimum 75 credits) in an eligible course in semester 1, 2026
  • Have a minimum course weighted average (CWA) of 50
  • Not be in receipt of any other scholarship that are from the same funding source and/or for the same purpose

Application process

Step 1: Access application form

  • Application form can be accessed via the ‘My Studies’ tab in OASIS or via the ‘Apply Online’ button on the top right-hand side of this page
  • Please note that this link will direct you to the general "Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship Program" application form. Once you submit your application, you will then be considered for all scholarships that you are eligible for in this round.

Step 2: Complete

  • Complete the application form online
  • Application form can be saved at any point of the process
  • Applying for a scholarship - See guidelines and tips (including the interview preparation) on how to complete your application

Step 3: Submit

  • Closing date is listed at the top of the page and within the Scholarships Channel on OASIS
  • Incomplete applications will not be assessed
  • Once submitted, application status will change to submitted

Step 4: Receipt

  • Application receipt will be sent to student email once application has been submitted

Step 5: Assessment

  • Applications will be assessed by an assessment panel using the following criteria:
    • Responses to questions in application form
    • Academic merit
    • Non-Academic Achievements
    • Passion for course / Vision for career
    • Interview performance (for shortlisted applicants)
    • If you are eligible for a scholarship with an interview component, the scholarship office may contact you regarding an interview:
      • Shortlisted applicants will be sent an interview date and time via their student email in late March - mid-April)
      • Shortlisted applicants must be available for designated interview time (early April to mid-April)

Step 6: Shortlist for Interview

  • Shortlisted applicants will be sent an interview date and time via their student email in late March - mid-April)
  • Shortlisted applicants must be available for designated interview time (early April to mid-April)

Step 7: Outcome

  • Successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified of their outcome via the Scholarship Channel (Student OASIS) within 9 weeks of closing date

Step 8: Acceptance

  • Successful applicants must accept the terms and conditions via the Scholarship Channel (Student OASIS) by the lapse date.

Please note:

  • Scholarship will be awarded if there are applicants of sufficient merit

Enrolment Requirements

Recipients must meet all of the following:

  • Remain enrolled in initial course of study
  • Maintain a study load of at least 75 credit points each study period at Curtin University
  • Maintain a course weighted average (CWA) of at least 50 each study period
  • Pass all units attempted each study period
  • Not be in receipt of any other scholarship from the same funding source and/or for the same purpose
