About this scholarship
The Morgan Travel Scholarship (the Scholarship) has been developed to support Business and Law students experiencing disadvantage to take part in a study tours within Australia or overseas.The scholarship aims to create access to transformative learning opportunities that enhance employability, broaden global perspectives, and strengthen professional confidence.

The Scholarship will provide the following support:
- A one-off cash payment of up to $5,000. The amount must be used by the recipient to take part in an approved study tour within Australia or overseas, arranged through the FBL Industry Community Hub.
Scholarship Details
Any Undergraduate course in the faculty of Business and Law, including double degrees.
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered eligible for the Scholarship:
- Domestic student (Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, Permanent Humanitarian visa)
- Enrolled in a minimum of 25 credits in an eligible course at Curtin University in Semester 1, 2026
- Low socio-economic background and demonstrated financial hardship
- Be interested in participating in a study tour/travel experience offered by Faculty of Business and Law.
Application process
Step 1: Access application form
- Application form can be accessed via the ‘My Studies’ tab in OASIS or via the ‘Apply Online’ button on the top right-hand side of this page
- Please note that this link will direct you to the general "Equity Scholarship Program" application form. Once you submit your application, you will then be considered for all equity scholarships that you are eligible for in this round.
- If you are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student and would like to be considered for all scholarships (equity and merit) available in this round, we recommend that you apply for the "Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship Program".
Step 2: Complete
- Complete the application form online
- Application form can be saved at any point of the process

Step 3: Submit
- Closing date is listed at the top of the page
- Incomplete applications will not be assessed
- Once submitted, application status will change to submitted
Step 4: Receipt
- Application receipt will be sent to student email once application has been submitted
Step 5: Assessment
- Applications will be assessed by an assessment panel using the following criteria:
- Responses to questions in application form
- Low socio-economic background and demonstrated financial hardship.
- Your event/activity/travel experience must:
- Comply with Curtin’s travel process and associated student travel procedures as outlined on the Student Travel Support webpage.
- This includes submitting and receiving approval for all associated FRA’s/TOP requests.
Step 6: Outcome
- All successful and unsuccessful applicants notified of their outcome via the Scholarships Channel (Student OASIS) within 9 weeks of the scholarship closing date
Step 7: Acceptance
- Successful applicants must accept the terms and conditions via the Scholarship Channel (Student OASIS) by the lapse date.
- Impact statement to be completed upon return from study tour
Please note:
- Scholarship will be awarded if there are applicants of sufficient need.
Enrolment Requirements
Recipients must meet all of the following:
- Maintain a minimum of 25 credits enrolment at Curtin University in semester 1, 2026
- Not be in receipt of any other scholarships from the same funding source and/or for the same purpose
- Complete travel experience within 12 months of being awarded the scholarship
