About this scholarship

The Rawlinsons Women in Construction Management Scholarship (Scholarship) aims to reduce educational barriers and provide financial support for female students pursuing careers in construction management, with the potential for future employment at Rawlinsons WA. This scholarship fosters women's advancement in the industry by empowering them through education and financial assistance.

The Scholarship will provide the following support for up to two years:

  • A total value of $10,000 paid as a cash stipend of $2,500 per semester.
  • Option to participate in the Curtin and Rawlinsons Internship Program during the 4th year of study. The internship is offered as a professional placement, providing invaluable exposure within the industry.

The amount can be used at the recipient's discretion to contribute towards payment of their course fees, or for other education-related expenses such as textbooks and/or general living expenses.

Scholarship Details

Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management).

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for the scholarship:

  • Australian or New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa holder
  • Have a minimum Course Weighted Average (CWA) of 70
  • Enrolled (minimum 75 credits per semester) in the third or fourth year of an eligible course at Curtin University in semester 1, 2026.
  • Identify as female.
  • Not in receipt of any other scholarships that are from the same funding source and/or for the same purpose

Application process

Step 1: Access application form

  • Application form can be accessed via the ‘My Studies’ tab in OASIS or via the ‘Apply Online’ button on the top right-hand side of this page
  • If you are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student and would like to be considered for all scholarships (equity and merit) available in this round, we recommend that you apply for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship Program here. Once you submit your application, you will then be considered for all scholarships that you are eligible for in this round.

Step 2: Complete

  • Complete the application form online
  • Application form can be saved at any point of the process
  • Multiple scholarships can be applied for at one time
  • Applying for a scholarship - See guidelines and tips (including the interview preparation) on how to complete your application
  • Closing date is listed at the top of the page and within the Scholarships Channel on OASIS
  • Incomplete applications will not be assessed
  • Once submitted, application status will change to submitted

Step 3: Submit

Step 4: Receipt

  • Application receipt will be sent to student email once application has been submitted

Step 5: Assessment

  • Applications will be assessed by an assessment panel using one or more of the following criteria:
    • Responses provided in application form
    • Academic merit
    • Extracurricular and leadership
    • Passion for course / vision for career
    • Interview performance (for shortlisted applicants)

Step 6: Shortlist for Interview

  • Shortlisted applicants will be sent an interview date and time via their student email approximately late March to early April
  • Shortlisted applicants must be available for the designated interview time
    • Interviews will be held between Wednesday 25 March -  Wednesday 22 April

Step 7: Outcome

  • Successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified of their outcome via the Scholarship Channel (Student OASIS) within 9 weeks of the scholarship closing date

Step 8: Acceptance

  • Successful applicants must accept the terms and conditions via the Scholarship Channel (Student OASIS) by the deadline

Please note:

  • Scholarship will be awarded if there are applicants of sufficient merit.

Enrolment Requirements

Recipients must meet all of the following:

  • Remain enrolled in initial course of study
  • Maintain a full-time study load of 75 credits each semester at Curtin University
  • Maintain a Course Weighted Average (CWA) of at least 70 each semester
  • Not apply for or receive any other scholarships that are from the same funding source and/or for the same purpose
