About this scholarship
The Women in MBA Scholarship (Scholarship) has been developed by Curtin Graduate School of Business (CGSB) to encourage and support female students studying a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The Scholarship will provide the following support for the expected duration of the MBA up to a maximum of four years:
- 40% of the cost of the student tuition fees (excluding the student services and amenities fee (SSAF))
Please note:
- The scholarship will be paid directly to the student tuition fee account prior to the census date for each enrolled trimester.
- This scholarship only covers part of the recipient's tuition fees. Recipients are required to pay the balance of any outstanding tuition fees and the student services amenities fees (SSAF) themselves each trimester.
Scholarship Details
Please note:
The Business Administration (Advanced) and Minerals and Energy Economics, Business Administration courses are ineligible for this scholarship.
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for the Scholarship:
- Australian citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa holder, or New Zealand Citizen
- Identify as female
- Have applied to commence the MBA at Curtin University in Trimester 2, 2026
- Applicants who have entered the MBA in Trimester 2, 2026 through Curtin's Graduate Certificate in Business or Graduate Diploma in Business pathway are also eligible for this scholarship (for the remaining expected duration of the MBA)
- Receive a course offer and be admitted into the MBA by the scholarship closing date
- Will enrol a minimum 25 credits per trimester
- Be able to demonstrate significant merit for all criteria listed in the scholarship application
- Must not be in receipt of credit for recognised learning (CRL), unless exempted
- Exemption will apply for the students entering the MBA program through Curtin’s Graduate Certificate in Business (up to 100 credits) or Graduate Diploma in Business pathway (up to 200 credits)
- Must not be in receipt of any other scholarship, fee discount or sponsorship from the same funding source or same purpose
Please note:
- Prior to applying for the scholarship, applicants must apply for the MBA and be admitted into the course by the scholarship closing date.
- Deferral of this scholarship is not permitted.
Application process
Step 1: Access online application form
- Apply to commence the Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Trimester 2, 2026 at Curtin University and be admitted into the program by the scholarship closing date
- Scholarship applications are to be submitted using the online application form. Access the form by clicking on the ‘Apply Online’ button on the top right-hand side of this page
- Please create a new scholarship account so you can lodge your scholarship application as a future student.
- If you already have your Curtin student ID with your previous course or with your course offer, please do not use your Curtin student ID for this scholarship application.
Step 2: Complete
- Complete the application form online
- Application form can be saved at any point of the process
- Multiple scholarships can be applied for at one time

Step 3: Submit
- Closing date is listed at the top of the page
- Late or incomplete applications will not be assessed
- Once submitted, application status will change to submitted
Step 4: Receipt
- Application receipt will be sent to the email address provided when you created your Curtin account, once your application has been submitted
Step 5: Assessment
- Applications will be assessed by an assessment panel using the following criteria:
- Receipt of an offer of a place into the MBA at Curtin University in Trimester 1, 2026
- Responses to questions in application form
- Academic merit
- Passion and vision for course/future career
- Non-academic achievements (leadership potential, community service and extra-curricular involvement)
- Reference
Step 6: Outcome
- Outcome sent via email supplied in the scholarship application within 9 weeks of the scholarship closing date
- All unsuccessful and successful applicants will be notified
Step 7: Acceptance
- Successful applicants must return acceptance documents by deadline listed in their offer email
- Deferral of this scholarship is not permitted
Please note:
- Scholarships will be awarded if there are applicants of sufficient merit
- Scholarship will commence from the trimester for which this scholarship is offered for
- Scholarship is not transferrable to another major, course or university
Enrolment Requirements
Recipients must meet all of the following:
- Remain enrolled in the MBA course at CGSB
- Maintain a study load of at least 25 credits each trimester
- Maintain a course weighted average (CWA) of 60
- Not take a leave of absence (LOA) for more than 12 months during the tenure of the scholarship
- Where their study plan allows, may be eligible for Credits for Recognised Learning (CRL) up to 50 credits from Curtin associated executive education programs (subject to the approval from the Curtin Graduate School of Business), after entering the MBA
