The Community Bank Bayswater WA Scholarship (Scholarship) aims to assist high achieving and highly motivated local students who have been offered a full-time place at an Australian university for the first time to study an undergraduate bachelor’s degree first year level and are experiencing financial and/or social challenges.

The Scholarship will provide the following support for up to a maximum of 2 years (dependent upon academic performance):

  • A total value of $6,000 paid as a cash stipend of $3,000 per annum 

The amount can be used at the recipient's discretion to contribute towards educational related expenses.

Scholarship Details

All undergraduate degrees

  • Domestic student (Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident)
  • Enrolled in the 1st year of an eligible degree in semester 1, 2026
  • Enrolled full-time on/off campus at an Australian university (in an approved Australian course)
  • Reside in, or have attended a secondary school in the City of Bayswater (WA)
  • Have completed Year 12
  • Be aged 25 years or younger as at 31 January 2026
  • Low socio-economic background and/or demonstrated financial hardship which are hindering the student’s ability to undertake further study
  • Demonstrated community involvement
  • Academically motivated
