About this scholarship

The Go Global Merit Travel Grant has been developed to support and encourage current students undertaking a Go Global program.

All students who apply for the Go Global Semester Exchange Program will be automatically considered.

The Go Global Merit Travel Grant will provide the following support (based on eligible partner institution):

  • Hanyang International Summer School Short-Term Program - $500
  • Liverpool International Summer School Short-Term Program - $500
  • Nanyang Technological University - $2,000
  • Thompson Rivers University - $2,000
  • University of Essex - $2,000
  • Virginia Commonwealth University - $2,000

Scholarship Details

All undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degrees

Applicants must meet all the following criteria to be eligible to apply for the Scholarship:

  • Domestic student (Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, Permanent Humanitarian visa)
  • Enrolled full-time (minimum of 75 credits) in an eligible course
  • Have a course weighted average (CWA) of at least 60
  • Undertaking an overseas exchange program in the semester this travel grant is for
  • Meet the semester exchange program eligibility listed on the Go Global website
  • Must be in first semester of exchange, if the exchange is over two semesters
  • Must submit a program review at the conclusion of the exchange program to Go Global

 

**Scholars in the following scholarship programs which have a travel stipend are not eligible:

  • Destination Australia Scholarship
  • Don Watts High Achiever Scholarship
  • John Curtin Undergraduate Scholarship
  • Julia Gillard Women in Leadership Scholarship
  • New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant
  • New Colombo Plan Scholarship

Please note students are unable to receive Curtin Go Global Equity Bursary and a Curtin Go Global Merit Scholarship for the same program.

Application process

Step 1: Access application form

  • There is no separate travel grant application form, all applicants for the Go Global Semester Exchange Program will be automatically assessed for this travel grant. To see if you meet the semester exchange program eligibility, please check the Go Global website

Step 2: Assessment

  • Applications will be assessed by the Go Global team based on the following:
    • CWA at time of application closing date

Step 3: Outcome

  • All successful and unsuccessful applicants notified of their outcome viavia Ontraport within 6 weeks of the Go Global application closing date

Step 4: Acceptance

  • Successful applicants must accept the terms and conditions via Ontraport by the deadline stipulated in the offer
