About this scholarship

Curtin University strives to give international students the opportunity to pursue their ambitions and gain a world-class education through the Curtin Global Future Leader Scholarship. This scholarship provides eligible students a one-off credit of AUD$10,000 against the tuition fee of the course they are undertaking.

This scholarship provides eligible students a one-off credit of AUD$10,000 against the tuition fee of the course they are undertaking.

Scholarship Details

  • All non-quota undergraduate degrees and Master degree by coursework available to international students

Quota courses (including undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Medicine, Psychology, Oral Health, Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedicine, Physiotherapy, Laboratory Medicine, Pharmacy, Occupational Therapy, Medical Radiation Science, Speech Pathology, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics and Social Work) are not eligible. 

Please see Curtin's website for a list of quota courses. Curtin reserves the right to change the list of quota courses as appropriate.

 

This scholarship is only for:

  • International, fee-paying, non-sponsored students of any nationality except Australian; and
  • Are enrolled in a non-quota Curtin undergraduate degree course or Master degree by coursework (Course); and
  • Will be studying at a Curtin Western Australian campus (WA Campus) commencing in a study period between May - December 2026; and
  • Will be studying at least 1.5 years (minimum of 300 credits) (Scholarship term) at the WA Campus; and
  • Achieved a minimum Credit level or equivalent Course-Weighted-Average in your most recent and eligible course of study.

 

Please note that this scholarship:

  • Provides a one-off credit of AUD$10,000 against the tuition fee.
  • Will be credited to recipient’s student fee account after census date of the first study period (First Period Credit). In the second study period of the Course, the total Course fees for that period will be further reduced by the First Period Credit.
  • Only covers tuition fees and does not cover any other international student expense.
  • Can be revoked if recipient receives Credit for Recognition Learning (CRL) and no longer meet the eligibility criteria, or Underload in their enrolment during the Scholarship term.
  • Cannot be withdrawn or refunded in cash.
  • Can be revoked at the discretion of Curtin if recipient already has a scholarship or sponsorship.
  • Can be revoked if the recipient does not accept their Letter of Offer or enrol in their course by the date specified.
  • Cannot be retained if the recipient defers their studies beyond a 2026 start date.
  • Cannot be transferred to a Curtin campus or partner outside Western Australia, or to another university.
  • Can be revoked if the recipient has also received a Global Curtin scholarship in a previous course of study that is incomplete, at Curtin.
  • Is not available to students enrolled in a Not-for-Degree Exchange or Study Abroad program in 2026.

 

To accept this scholarship offer, you must pay the full Deposit amount set out in your Letter of Offer for the first study period of your Course.

As there are limited number of Scholarship available, Curtin reserves the right to cease offering this Scholarship if you do not accept by the due date stated on the Letter of Offer. You will be formally notified if the Scholarship is no longer valid or withdrawn.

Application process

There is no separate scholarship application required. Students are invited to apply for the Curtin course through one of Curtin University registered education agents OR apply directly to Curtin online 
All qualifying applications to Curtin are automatically assessed for the Curtin Global Future Leaders Scholarship ($10K). Global Admissions will assess each application accordingly and issue a supplementary letter, along with a Letter of Offer, to confirm whether the applicant has been successful.

Enrolment Requirements

To prevent the scholarship being revoked, the recipient:

  • Must maintain enrolment as an international full fee paying and non-sponsored student during the term of the Scholarship. If your citizenship changes during the Scholarship term, Curtin will revoke the Scholarship, in which case the First Period Credit will be removed from your tuition fee account..
  • Must maintain an academic status of ‘Good Standing’. Your academic progress will be reviewed each study period and continuation of the Scholarship is subject to maintaining good academic standing at all times.
  • Must maintain full-time enrolment (as per study plan in the course structure) in each study period during the Scholarship term.
  • Cannot take Leave of Absence or withdraw from the Course.
  • Must not receive, hold or be awarded any other Curtin or Australian government scholarship while in receipt of this Scholarship.
  • Must abide by Curtin's policies and procedures, Student charter and not be found guilty of serious misconduct.
  • Cannot breach the scholarship terms and conditions outlined in their acceptance document. Where scholarship is revoked, you will be responsible for any outstanding fees.
