About this scholarship

The Curtin Athlete Grant (Scholarship) has been developed to support current Curtin students in attaining excellence in their chosen sport whilst maintaining academic achievement.

Curtin University is proud to be a member of the Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU) Network, an initiative of the Australian Sporting Commission.

Since its conception in 2004, the EAFU Program at Curtin University has contributed significant resources to ensure elite athletes receive the required support to be able to successfully integrate their academic and sporting aspirations. The program is managed by Curtin Stadium and is strongly endorsed by the Vice-Chancellor.

Completing an education at the same time as undertaking a competitive sport is challenging. However comprehensive research and student athlete testimonies demonstrate that athletes who successfully integrate their studies and sport can achieve excellent results in both areas.
