The Argonaut Emerging Resources Professionals Bursary (the Bursary) has been developed for double degree students, majoring in Finance and Mining/Metallurgy to support their living expenses while studying in Kalgoorlie. Argonaut acknowledge the additional pressures felt by students completing a double degree, especially those required to complete part of their course at the at Curtin’s Kalgoorlie Campus.

The Bursary will provide the following support (based on a full-time study load of 75 credits per semester):

• A one-off cash payment of $5,000
• Bursary recipients are invited, should they wish, to apply for paid internship positions with Argonaut, pending availability and operational requirements.

The amount can be used at the recipient's discretion to contribute towards educational related expenses.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for the Bursary:

• Domestic student (Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian or New Zealand citizen)
• Enrolled full-time (minimum 75 credits), in the 3rd, 4th or 5th year of an eligible degree in semester 2, 2026
• Have a minimum course weighted average (CWA) of 65
• Not in receipt of any other scholarships that are from the same funding source and/or for the same purpose

Step 1: Access application form

• Application form can be accessed via the ‘My Studies’ tab in OASIS or via the ‘Apply Online’ button on the top right-hand side of this page
• If you are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student and would like to be considered for all scholarships (equity and merit) available in this round, we recommend that you apply for the "Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship Program".

Step 2: Complete

• Complete the application form online
• Application form can be saved at any point of the process
• Multiple scholarships can be applied for at one time

Step 3: Submit

• Closing date is listed at the top of the page and within the Scholarships Channel on OASIS
• Incomplete applications will not be assessed
• Once submitted, application status will change to submitted

Step 4: Receipt

• Application receipt will be sent to student email once application has been submitted

Step 5: Assessment

• Applications will be assessed by an assessment panel using the following criteria:
  • Responses to questions in application form
  • Academic Merit (CWA)
  • Passion for course / vision for career
  • Work experience or non-academic achievements (extra curricular and leadership)
• Preference will be given to students studying at Kalgoorlie campus.

Step 6: Outcome

• All successful and unsuccessful applicants notified of their outcome via the Scholarships Channel (Student OASIS) within 7 - 8 weeks of the scholarship closing date

Step 7: Acceptance

• Successful applicants must accept the terms and conditions via the Scholarship Channel (Student OASIS) by the lapse date.
