About this scholarship

A dedicated scholarship for international students who have commenced their studies at one of Curtin’s global campuses or in a recognised joint program at Curtin’s offshore partner location. This scholarship provides eligible students who wish to transfer to the Curtin Western Australian campus for the remaining duration of their degree, with a one-off credit of AUD$10,000 towards their tuition fees.

This scholarship provides eligible students a one-off credit of AUD$10,000 against the tuition fee of the course they are undertaking.

Scholarship Details

Any undergraduate or postgraduate degree by coursework which is also available at one of Curtin global campuses.

This scholarship is only for:

  • International, full fee-paying, non-sponsored students of any nationality except Australian; and
  • Will be studying either an undergraduate or postgraduate degree by coursework (Course); and
  • Will be studying at a Curtin Western Australian campus (WA Campus) commencing in 2027; and
  • Will be studying at least one year (minimum of 200 credits) (Scholarship term) at the WA Campus; and
  • Are enrolled in one of the following: (1) campus transfer from a Curtin global campus of the same course level (2) a recognised joint program at a Curtin Transnational Partner Location outside Australia (3) Not-for-Degree Exchange or Study Abroad program

Please note that this scholarship:

  • Provides a one-off credit of AUD$10,000 against the tuition fee
  • Only covers tuition fees and does not cover any other international student expense
  • Will be credited to recipient’s fee account after census date of the first study period at Curtin WA Campus
  • Cannot be withdrawn or refunded in cash
  • Can be revoked at the discretion of Curtin if recipient already has a scholarship or sponsorship
  • Can be revoked if the recipient does not accept their Letter of Offer or enrol in their course by the date specified
  • Cannot be retained if a recipient defers their studies beyond 2027
  • Cannot be transferred to a Curtin campus or partner outside Western Australia, or to another university
  • Will not be extended beyond its prescribed amount

To accept this scholarship offer, you must pay the full Deposit amount (the Deposit stated on your Letter of Offer) for your Course when you accept your Offer.

Curtin reserves the right to cease offering this Scholarship if you do not accept by the due date stated on the Letter of Offer OR when all the Scholarship places are filled. You will be formally notified if the Scholarship is no longer valid or withdrawn.

Application process

There is no separate scholarship application required. Students are invited to apply for the Curtin course through one of Curtin University registered education agents OR apply directly to Curtin online 
All qualifying applications to Curtin are automatically assessed for the Curtin Global Talent Scholarship. Global Admissions will assess each application accordingly and issue a supplementary letter, along with a Letter of Offer, to confirm whether the applicant has been successful.

Enrolment Requirements

To prevent the scholarship being revoked, the recipient:

  • Must maintain enrolment as an international full fee paying and non-sponsored student during the Scholarship. If your citizenship changes during the Scholarship term, Curtin will revoke the Scholarship, in which case the First and/or Second Period Credit will be removed from your tuition fee account.
  • Must maintain an academic status of ‘Good Standing’ at the time of application up until your commencement in the WA Campus. Your academic progress will be reviewed each study period and continuation of the Scholarship is subject to maintaining good academic standing at all times.
  • If you apply and receive Credit for Recognition Learning (CRL) in your enrolment during the Scholarship term, Curtin will reassess whether you meet the eligibility criteria. If the total number of credits for your studies fall below the minimum number of credits required for this Scholarship, you agree that Curtin may revoke the Scholarship, in which case the First and/or Second Period Credit will be removed from your tuition fee account, following which you will be required to pay any outstanding fees for your Course to Curtin.
  • Must maintain full-time enrolment (as per study plan in the course structure) in each study period during the Scholarship term.
  • Must not be Withdrawn or AWOL from Curtin. If you are no longer enrolled at Curtin, you agree that Curtin will revoke the Scholarship. You may incur outstanding tuition fees as a result of the revocation.
  • Must not receive, hold or be awarded with any other Curtin or Australian government scholarship while in receipt of this Scholarship.
  • Must abide by Curtin’s policies and procedures, Student Charter and not be found guilty of serious misconduct.
  • If you do not meet these Terms & Conditions, Curtin may revoke the Scholarship offer effective immediately, following which you may be required to pay any outstanding fees for your Course to Curtin if the scholarship credit has been applied to your student account.
