About this scholarship
The Euroz Hartleys Scholarship aims to enrich the educational experience of Curtin students.
The scholarship will be offered to current WA School of Mines students enrolled at Curtin University full-time in an undergraduate degree (other than the first year) or postgraduate coursework degree. The scholarship is intended to support students experiencing financial hardship and/or from a rural or remote background.

The Euroz Hartleys Scholarship will provide the following support for up to one year:
- A total value of up to $10,000 paid as a cash stipend of $5,000 per semester. The amount can be used at the recipient's discretion to contribute towards educational related expenses
Scholarship Details
Any undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree within the Western Australian School of Mines (WASM) at Curtin University
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for the Euroz Hartleys Scholarship:
- Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, or Permanent Humanitarian Visa holder
- Enrolled full-time (100 credits) in an undergraduate degree or postgraduate coursework degree within the WA School of Mines at Curtin University in semester 1, 2024
- Enrolled in 2nd year or above in one of the eligible undergraduate or postgraduate course within the WA School of Mines at Curtin University
- Minimum course weighted average (CWA) of 50
- Demonstrate active citizenship in the Curtin community or the student's program of study
- Experiencing financial hardship or be from a rural or remote background

Previous recipients of this scholarship are eligible to re-apply for the scholarship in subsequent years
Application process
Step 1: Access application form
- Application form can be accessed via the ‘My Studies’ tab in OASIS or via the ‘Apply Online’ button on the top right-hand side of this page
- Please note that this link will direct you to the general "Equity Scholarship Program" application form. Once you submit your application, you will then be considered for all equity scholarships that you are eligible for in this round.
Step 2: Complete
- Complete the application form online
- Application form can be saved at any point of the process
- Tips on how to complete your application can be found on the ‘Applying for scholarships’ link on the scholarships website
Step 3: Submit
- Closing date is listed at the top of the page and within the Scholarships Channel on OASIS
- Incomplete applications will not be assessed
- Once submitted, application status will change to submitted
Step 4: Receipt
- Application receipt will be sent to student email once application has been submitted
Step 5: Assessment
- Applications will be assessed by an assessment panel using the following criteria:
- Response provided in the application form demonstrating active citizenship in the Curtin community or his/her program of study
- Demonstration of financial hardship
- Socioeconomic background
- Preference will be given to applicants who have relocated from a regional area
Step 6: Outcome
- All successful and unsuccessful applicants notified of their outcome via the Scholarships Channel (Student OASIS) within 6-8 weeks of the scholarship closing date
Step 7: Acceptance
- Successful applicants must accept the terms and conditions via the Scholarship Channel (Student OASIS) by the deadline

- Scholarship will be awarded if there are applicants of sufficient need
Enrolment Requirements
Recipients must meet all of the following:
- Remain enrolled in initial course of study
- Maintain a full-time study load of 100 credits each semester at Curtin University
- Maintain a CWA of at least 50 each semester
- Pass all units attempted each semester
Additionally, the successful recipient will be required to submit at least one personal written statement through the year to the Scholarships Office and Euroz as a way of providing an update on how they are progressing with their studies and how they are benefiting from their scholarship.
