About this scholarship
Many nursing students postpone their initial placement due to financial struggles because they simply can't afford the placement related costs such as for example mask fitting, uniform or working with children check. Although these costs might be incidental for some, they are major barriers for others. Without access to support for these out-of-pocket expenses these struggles can lead to a delay in their degree completion, and even increases the risk of dropouts.
Jump Start Nursing supports students to seamlessly traverse their degrees and enter the workforce without delay by reducing the out-of-pocket expenses for nursing students entering their placements.
Nurses have always been seen as the glue that holds the health system together. Jump Start Nursing holds our nursing students together so that they can become the much needed nurses of the future.
